Fighting Hepatitis Naturally

Safe and effective natural health supplements can kill any virus, including the Hepatitis C virus or other hepatitis viruses. Others support the immune system so that it more effectively fights viruses. Many natural supplements have anti-viral properties with no side effects. Many others can effectively support the immune system. The ones you are about to read about may be the best available to both kill the hepatitis C virus, and support the immune system's fight against it.

You may ask why the medical profession doesn't treat hepatitis or any of the other viral infections with safe, inexpensive supplements rather than with expensive and harmful antiviral medicines. The short and simple answer is that your doctor is not educated about supplements, and in fact usually has a strong bias against them. He or she knows drugs.

The pharmaceutical industry uses natural supplements to make drugs, but they transform those some way so that they are patentable. If it can't be patented, they won't make or sell it. Natur-Leaf Sterols and Sterolins

Sterols and sterolins are plant fats that have a decade or more of research with dozens of double-blind studies behind them showing conclusively that they modulate the immune response and increase levels of gamma interferon.

For example, if the Th-1 cells, the immune system components that fight viruses, are depressed and worn out, the sterols and sterolins work to give them a boost. Clinically, plant sterols and sterolins have been shown to halt the destruction of liver cells by normalizing IL-6 levels and controlling inflammation in the liver, while stimulating the good immune factors Interleukin-2 and gamma interferon, which destroy the virus.

Physicians using sterols and sterolins to treat hepatitis C have already confirmed that within 90 days liver enzymes and viral load normalize.

Sterols and sterolins fight hepatitis several ways. Lorna Vanderhaeghe, author of The Immune System Cure explains that research shows that the hepatitis virus (along with the HIV and herpes virus) uses Interleukin 6 to replicate. Interleukin 6 is a component of the Th-2 side of the immune system. When you have over-active Th-2 immune cells, the hepatitis virus has plenty of Interleukin 6 to use for replication.

Elevated levels of interleukin 6 create a situation where the hepatitis viruses can rapidly multiply and increase in numbers. In addition, the part of the immune system designed to fight hepatitis C, the Th-1 side of the immune is under activated when the Th-2 side is overactive. And so your body has a hard time dealing with the hepatitis virus.

What you want to do is calm down the overactive Th-2 cells thereby reducing levels of Interleukin 6, and boost out the worn out Th-1 cells so they can better fight viruses. Decades of research and anecdotal reports prove that can do just this when you take supplements containing sterols and sterolins. Do so and...

Levels of interleukin 6 drop, and not as many hepatitis viruses can replicate. Thus inhibiting the ability of the hepatitis virus to multiple rapidly.

In addition, sterols and sterolins increase levels of gamma interferon and Natural Killer cells, which strengthens the Th-1 side of the immune system. Your immune system will be stronger, and better able to fight the hepatitis viruses when you take sterols and sterolins.

One of the leading researchers on sterols and sterolins, Professor Patrick Bouic, wrote about this ability in YOU Magazine, May 7, 1998. Chronic viral diseases: such as HIV infection where it is known that the immune suppression is due to the body's immune system failing to make sufficient lymphokines which stimulate the activity of cytotoxic T cells (hence chronic infection) and also the T cells fail to divide in response to the invading virus or other opportunistic organisms. Since the sterols/sterolins stimulate both the proliferation of lymphocytes when these have to respond to organisms as well as the secretion of lymphokines, in these diseases, the individuals would find that their immune system would cope with the onslaught by the invading organism and that there would not be destruction of the immune cells which normally accompanies infection by HIV.

Natur-Leaf sterols and sterolins is a whole food (freeze dried sprouts) sterol and sterolin supplement that has the highest ratio of sterolins to sterols. 4 to 1.

In an interview with the world's foremost authority on sterols and sterolins, Dr. Karl Pegel, the question was asked whether the sterols/sterolin ratio has any effect on the efficiency of the treatment. If you could get enough oxygen into your cells, where the hepatitis virus resides, then that oxygen could help kill them off. The drawback to using oxygen supplements for hepatitis C has been that it is not easy to get oxygen from supplements into the cells.

Ozone won't get into cells because there is no delivery mechanism to get it into cells.

The typical liquid oxygen supplement has a similar problem. It can get oxygen into the body, but as Dr. Julian Whittaker points out, that doesn't mean it will get into cells. The manufacturer of MPS-Gold uses the right kind of processing to preserve all the active ingredients. No other Aloe product, whole leaf, from the gel or as a powder, contains stabilized MPS. When the leaf is cut the mineral salts and enzymes break down the MPS molecule in its form as a long linear chain of the individual simple sugar molecules Manose and Galactose. The proprietary extraction process, involves freeze drying the gel into a powder along with other steps to stabilize the MPS molecular weights to eliminate the inclusion of enzymes and mineral salts (which are in most Aloe products).
